One of our favorite magazines that highlights the west is Western Art and Architecture Magazine. They have highlighted several of our top artists, including Amy Ringholz, Matt Flint, and Shawna Moore. This summer’s edition features a stunning home “Hayley’s Hideaway” in Montana, and several encaustic paintings by Shawna Moore are displayed within the beautiful home.

At this year’s Park City Kimball Art Center’s Art Festival we discovered a wonderfully talented emerging artist named Julia Lucey, from just North of San Francisco. Her works are unique to Gallery MAR, as this is the first time that we have featured an artist who works exclusively on paper. Ms. Lucey’s etchings are all originals, which also makes her stand out in the printmaking world.

White Tail Buck Commission by Jamie Burnes

“White Tail Buck” is a unique take on a Burnes sculpture, incorporating rock work instead of Burnes’ typical rot-resistant woods. Cor-Ten steel is heated, pounded, and annealed to just the perfect shape to hold the individual rocks. This beautiful artwork is also great than life-sized, and will be a beautiful addition to the collector’s grounds.
