Nina Tichava, “Like the Sun Coming Out,” mixed media, 60″ x 48″

In our ongoing series “The Collector’s Eye,” we step inside the homes—and hearts—of Gallery MAR collectors to discover the stories behind the works they’ve chosen to live with every day. Each entry offers a glimpse into the personal connections that make art collecting so much more than acquisition—it’s a celebration of beauty, memory, and meaning.

For Park City collector Esaam, beauty is the whole story. Drawn to the luminous colors and harmonious abstraction of artists Shawna Moore and Nina Tichava, his home has become a gallery of light and pattern. From his office to his bedroom, dining room, and hallways, bold blues and organic shapes infuse each space with joy. As Esaam shares, these works don’t just decorate—they brighten his spirit, lift his mood, and remind him daily why art is worth collecting.

Gallery MAR: Please share with us about your favorite artwork(s) that you’ve collected from Where is it in your home, and what made you fall in love with it?

Esaam: I have walked up and down Main Street many times and have only fallen in love with Shawna Moore and Nina Tichava only. I’m drawn mostly to the bright colors and the coherent abstract designs and beauty. All pieces are in our house: office, bedroom, dining room, entry way, hall ways.
