The skies above Park City are never still. With each season—and often, each hour—they shift from golden dawn to moody afternoon storm, from a blaze of sunset to the cool hush of twilight. This sense of movement and impermanence is what makes the Autumn Aloft hot air balloon festival so magical: for a few fleeting days, the heavens themselves become a gallery of color and light. Inspired by this spectacle, our latest “Picture This” series celebrates artworks that capture the poetry of change written across the sky.

In this installment, we’ve placed these works into thoughtfully styled interiors, showing how collectors might bring the drama and tranquility of shifting skies into their own homes. Whether it’s the calm expanse of a twilight horizon, the energy of wind-tossed clouds, or the luminous glow of dawn breaking, these artworks remind us that beauty often lies in the fleeting. Just as balloons drift and disappear, the skies remind us to pause, look up, and savor the moment.
