It’s always a thrill to see your nae in print. For Gallery MAR artist Cristall Harper, it happened in this months’s Southwest Art Magazine, which has been featuring our artists for over eleven years. We are grateful to say that our of our artists have graced the cover. Harper is one of the most grateful and graceful artists with whom we have the honor of working. And we love seeing her get the credit for her career that she deserves. We also have a fun piece in Mountain Express Magazine, below. Enjoy the reads, and see more Press pieces on our website here.

At our Park City gallery, we currently have the privilege of working with a collector whose brand new home is a showcase for exceptional artwork. From a top South Carolina architecture firm, the design is open, contemporary, and incredibly inspiring. When I ran across this article on Artspace, I knew I had to share it with our readers.

It’s sometimes said the greatest quality an actor can have in movies is an unusual blankness of eye-expression. That almost erased quality, it’s said, makes the viewer eager to fill in that blankness with his or her own imaginings, the actor an avatar for you to transfer your feelings to. In “Somewhere in the Sky,” one large serenely wind-gliding owl is portraitized by Flint: the gray flat milky simple blankness of its round lusterless eye-orbs invite you somehow to imagine what this owl might be thinking of as it peers at you. Again, the feeling of a character, the lure of story.

Last weekend, Gallery MAR hosted a third immersive art experience with Western art painter Matt Flint, whose exhibit, “Braided Path,” opened on Friday. “Matt is from Wyoming and he is one of our most popular artists,” Mullin said. “He can’t make enough art to really satisfy our collector base.” Flint is also an outdoor adventurer, Mullin said.
