I’ve always wanted to visit Montana in the summer, and this year my family and I had the chance to sneak a few days up north. We split the difference between Flathead Lake and Whitefish Lake and stayed on a beautiful property, the Broken Leg Ranch.
The highlight of the trip was our day on Whitefish Lake visiting with and touring the studio of Shawna Moore, one of our longest-showing artists in the gallery. We were able to see her studio, located near the railroad yard in Whitefish, and her on-mountain home by the lake. Moore just completed a new series of work for Gallery MAR and she had a few new starts in the gallery for us to peek at.
Outside her studio, Moore has a beautiful garden, which was brimming with tasty options and sweet smelling flowers. It was the perfect time to visit her and explore this gorgeous area of the West.
