Here at Gallery MAR, we rarely have the opportunity to exhibit photography but instead focus on artists whose work is inspired by or utilizes this cinematic media. Kollabs, Maura Allen, and James Penfield all fit this scenario, and we have brought them all together for an exhibition we are entitling “It’ll Last Longer.”

Annual Park City High School Gallery MAR Scholarships

For the third year, Gallery MAR has the honor of giving out three $500 scholarships to students attending art school after high school graduation. We know that the are a small drop in the bucket when it comes to the rising costs of college tuition, but we feel excited about helping three students each year to assist (even a little bit!) with their new adventures in art.
New Richard Taylor Sculptures Honor Milwaukee Road Railway Workers

A series of metal sculptures taking shape in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley honors the men and women who worked at a now-lost transportation giant. The “People of the Road” [by Richard Taylor, Gallery MAR artist] monument is a tribute to the thousands who labored for a passenger and freight-rail service best known as the Milwaukee Road.

It’s always a thrill to see your nae in print. For Gallery MAR artist Cristall Harper, it happened in this months’s Southwest Art Magazine, which has been featuring our artists for over eleven years. We are grateful to say that our of our artists have graced the cover. Harper is one of the most grateful and graceful artists with whom we have the honor of working. From a top South Carolina architecture firm, the design is open, contemporary, and incredibly inspiring. When I ran across this article on Artspace, I knew I had to share it with our readers.
2019 Art & Soup Celebration Featuring Our Glen Hawkins

Wednesday evening featured a “Quick Draw” which allows artists to paint and auction their work in just a couple of hours. Glen pre-frames the work and masks it off while he paints. “That way they can handle the painting without getting oil paint all over.” One of his collectors hinted they would like one of his nudes. Glen is always open to requests.
