One of the greatest joys of entrepreneurship is having the ability to decide who you want to work with. I get to pick my artists, and choose my staff, and it’s even more lovely when they’re friends.

Last month, artist Bridgette Meinhold and I drove from Park City to the Truckee area to deliver a painting, commissioned for the owners of a very special on-mountain home. As we spent eight hours in a car together — we learned more about each other than in our eight years of working together! Our favorite podcasts, stops for photos (more references for paintings, of course), boozie dinners, quiet nature walks, painting on the lake, “sleeping in” late — and that new show, The Sopranos.

Bridgette, I can confidently say that I did not get sick of you.

Here’s to more great trips delivering beautiful artwork with fabulous friends!
