Support ARTS-KIDS Annual Celebration & Fundraiser

Park City, UT—“Step Up to the Plate,” Arts-Kids’ annual fundraiser will be held on Sunday, February 27 from 6 to 9 pm at the Newpark Resort Hotel. The event unites chefs from eight Park City restaurants in friendly culinary competition. Guests will vote for the People’s Choice award and four professional food critics will name the top chef of the evening.

“Step Up to the Plate” features culinary tastings created specifically for the event by chefs from the Goldener Hirsch Inn, Shabu, Jean Louis, Butcher’s Chop House, High West Distillery, Zoom, Top Shelf, Maxwell’s and Squatters. The Montage will provide a special dessert.

Tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the door. The ticket price includes adult beverages. A signature cocktail from the High West Distillery will be available for purchase. New this year, guests can reserve seating for $75 a ticket or purchase an entire table for groups of 8 to10 guests.

The full evening includes a presentation about the Arts-Kids program, silent auction, and live music by Rich Wyman during the cocktail hour, followed by food tastings, guest voting, and continuation of the silent auction. Wine, beer, sodas, and the signature cocktail will be available throughout the evening. The evening ends with the announcement of the winners of the culinary competition and the winners of the Silent Auction.

The Silent Auction includes ski tickets, gift certificates to restaurants, retail stores, the Park City School of Wine, artwork from local artists, and much, much more.

Proceeds from the event and Silent Auction benefit Arts-Kids, an after school program using the expressive arts and group techniques to enhance youth development and build community. Professional artists provide experiences in the visual arts, music, drama and movement. Just as a student on an athletic team builds confidence and skills, success in art builds self-esteem through improved communications and problem-solving skills and the joy of belonging to a fun group.
