December 5th, 2018

We’ve decked our halls, hung twinkling lights and glittering ornaments and best of all, we have fresh artwork for you from our acclaimed artists for the beginning of the 2018/2019 Winter Season.

Park City artist, Bridgette Meinhold, captures the nuances of a single day of back country skiing in Big Cottonwood Canyon in encaustic beeswax with her new show, “Back Country.”  Shades of light, clouds and snow dotted by fir trees invite the viewer to experience that intimacy of being off-piste. Relax, unwind and behold the beauty that surrounds those lucky enough to live in Utah.

We anxiously await the arrival of new work from Rebecca Kinkead and Jamie Burnes for their show “Flight,” opening December 28th. Kinkead’s collection features skiers, horses, owls, dogs, deer and eagles to name a few. We will also have a large assortment of what Kinkead calls “wee-ones.” These are pint-sized beauties painted this past summer during her sojourn in Ireland.

Jamie Burnes brings another life-sized horse to Gallery MAR– this time a mare with 2 foals. We cannot wait to see that installed! It’s Eastern White Cedar Heartwood finished with black Corten steel.

Gift-giving is our specialty with beautiful wrapping and bows. We’re happy to assist with all your Secret Santa surprises as well. Come see what’s new and always fresh at Gallery MAR this winter season!
