Ron Russon, one of our favorite Utah artists, was recently contacted by the Clymer Museum to do a show, which has progressed into a solo show. The museum sits in Ellensbug, Washington, and is devoted to the art of John Clymer.

The mission of the Clymer Museum and Gallery is to collect, preserve, research, and interpret the art and life of John Clymer, the art and life of his contemporaries, and the art of preceding and ensuing generations that depict and focus on the culture, life and country of Clymer’s America.

Ron Russon’s show will be up until March 1st, 2016.  They are hoating a few major events during Russons’ show there, so many will be able to view the artwork. The show title is “Beyond Tradition,”which fits the body of work well. Russon’s subject matter in his paintings is generally traditional, but his style is a bit beyond the traditional work that is usually seen at this museum.

They are certainly in for a treat!

Gallery MAR is bringing our own new show of work by Ron Russon to the gallery in mid-March, with Joe Norman. Please watch out websire and Facebook for more information, and contact the gallery if you would like a preview of the paintings.
