Park City is set to welcome world class events this winter.  World Cup Bobsled and Skeleton competition, the Half Pipe and Slopestyle Rev Tour and the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup will be held at our ski resorts and the Olympic Park this January and February.  Our national Visa Women’s Ski Jumping Team, the “Fly Girls,” will be competing all season in Europe, but Gallery MAR and ardent Park City fans will cheer them on enthusiastically from home.

Be sure to catch one of these exciting events while you are in town.  Go team USA!

Park City is Bark City.  This week, the Park City Council unanimously declared a large swath of Round Valley as off-leash for dogs.  Park City’s many dog lovers are celebrating this decision and vow to keep the area friendly for all who use it.  We, at Gallery MAR, celebrate man’s best friend and our talented artists represent the beauty, temperament and antics of dogs in a variety of mediums and styles.

Development in Park City has impacted the local wildlife.  As a result of this development, we see deer, moose (just yesterday, in Pinebrook!) and at times mountain lion in our neighborhoods.  It is a delicate balance that the city confronts in keeping both populations safe and healthy.  We are very lucky to catch glimpses of these beautiful creatures in our mountains and our backyards.  Gallery MAR’s artistic team of Kollabs also shares with us the elegance of nature’s animals in their creative collaborations.
